Shintaro Sakamoto

Shintaro Sakamoto (born September 9, 1967 in Osaka) is a Japanese music composer, producer, writer and singer based in Tokyo.

He began his career in 1989 as a member of the rock band “Yura Yura Teikoku”, where he played guitar and sang.

Over the course of 21 years, Yura Yura Teikoku released 3 cassette tapes, 10 original albums, 1 original mini album, 2 live albums, 1 remix album and a double-CD best-of compilation.

In 2006, a collection of his art work was published under the title “SHINTARO SAKAMOTO ARTWORKS 1994-2006″.

In 2010, Yura Yura Teikoku disbanded. They released a 2 DVD box set shortly thereafter.

In 2011, Sakamoto wrote the lyrics for three songs on salyu×salyu’s album “s(o)un(d)beams” . Then he launched a solo career and started his own record label, “zelone records”.And 1st solo album “How To Live With A Phantom” had be released .

In 2012, this album had be released from Other Music Recording Co. in USA. In 2013, new single “Don’t Know What’s Normal” had be released.

In 2014, 2nd solo album “Let’s Dance Raw had be released from zelone records and Other Music Recording Co. in JA/US/EU/UK. And then, new 7inch vinyl and digital single had be released in 7 November 2014.
