Originally included with an issue of Sound & Recording Magazine last year, the celebrated Cornelius remix of In A Phantom Mood will see its long-awaited vinyl release paired with Yura Yura Teikoku producer You Ishihara’s remix of “World Without Sadness.”
Both artists go way back with Sakamoto, and the two remixes make for an excellent contrast on this double A-sided record.
Both songs on this release feature prominent vocals from Fuko Nakamura, who has contributed chorus vocals to countless Sakamoto songs since his Yura Yura Teikoku days. The songs are attributed to “Shintaro Sakamoto feat. Fuko Nakamura.”
This is the first release for Sakamoto to exclusively feature other people’s remixes.
And since it is a limited, 2013 Record Store Day release, the only place to purchase it will be in record shops (online purchases/reservations will not be possible).http://www.recordstoreday.jp/index.html#a1

Formed White Heaven in the late 80s, after that formed The Stars. Since The Stars dissolution in 2008, has performed solo sporadically.
Produced all of Yura Yura Teikoku’s releases, from 1996’s Are You Ra to their final album, “Hollow Me”, and has been in charge of sound design, production, arrangement and remixing of recent Ogre You Asshole releases.
He also has produced and remixed many other releases for Aso Ai, Boris, etc.
It seems that Music Video ” From The Dead” taken from Sakamoto’s new single “Don’t Know What’s Normal” is completed.
It seems that this time the video is appeared by Sakamoto ownseif, after a long time.
It seems that Sakamoto has written new music for the TV Tokyo show “Mahoro Ekimae Bangaichi”, which will first air on January, 2013. It appears that Sakamoto wrote the ending theme song “Don’t Know What’s Normal”, along with other new music that will be heard during the show. It appears that this is the first time Sakamoto has written original music specifically for a TV show.
